The development of specialized technical skills is a key factor in the success of any industrial company. It is essential that maintenance personnel are trained to identify and solve complex technical problems, which helps minimize downtime and ensure efficient operation.
In this context, ABS continues to offer customized training to companies interested in expanding their personnel’s technical training. The latest training, we have provided, “General Failure Modes of Gears according to ANSI/AGMA 1010-E95 and of Bearings according to ISO 15243 standard”, was developed for Tenaris, a global leader in the manufacturing of steel pipes and related services.
During the program, participants were taught to recognize, identify, and correct various types of bearing and gear failures that may occur during production processes in the metallurgical industry. Gears and bearings are two of the key components in power transmissions that often experience the most damage due to the high levels of power being transmitted, making it essential for maintenance personnel to be trained to effectively handle these issues.
The training was provided by our mechanical engineering team leader, Eugenio Galban, an expert in failure analysis for various industrial applications and a member of ABMA’s ASC B3 committee, which is designated to review and update current ABMA standards.
This collaboration with Tenaris Bay City is just another example of how our company demonstrates its commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement, focusing on providing personalized and tailored solutions to the specific needs of our clients.
